Master of Arts in Sociology
Overview
This is a two years programme which aims at producing social scientists that will be
dedicated academically and committed to the examination of society and the
social world. The program offers five areas of specializations: Medical Sociology,
Sociology of Organizations, Rural Sociology, Social Gerontology and Sociology of Criminology.
Admission Requirements
Minimum Entry Qualifications:
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Sociology from a recognized higher learning
institution with a minimum GPA of 2.8 or above;
OR
Holder of Bachelor Degree in any related field from a recognized higher
learning institution with a minimum GPA of 2.7 plus five years of work experience;
OR
Holder of Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Sciences, Social Work, Environment Studies and Community Development with a minimum GPA of 3.0;
